STEVE LOEFFLER - TENNIS DIRECTOR

Steve Loeffler is the Tennis Director and Tennis Centre Manager at Maccabi Tennis Bondi and White City. Steve spent several years playing tennis professionally. Most of this time was spent in Europe playing European Team Tennis and the International Satellite and Futures Circuits. Following his tennis career Steve achieved a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science and Human Movement and personal training certification. Steve is a Tennis Australia Qualified Level 2 Coach. Steve has owned and managed tennis centres since 1997 throughout NSW and Sydney.

JEFFREY SCHAPPA - OPERATIONS MANAGER 

EDUCATION
Jeffrey attended DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated Cum Laude in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He currently has his USPTA Professional Level 3 certification. He has attended the Tennis Australia Hot Shots Coaches’ Conference in Sydney in 2010 and also the Australian Grand Slam Coaches’ Conference in Melbourne in 2011 and 2012.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Jeffrey played singles for the varsity team for the 4 years he attended high school. He played the #1 singles position his Junior and Senior year. In 2004 he was the #1 Singles Runner Up in the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Regional Finals.

From 2009 -2010 he was an Assistant Coach for the Cadillac Boys and Girls High School Varsity teams.

CARMEL MEACHEN - COACH

Carmel comes from s strong tennis background, her father Tony, attended and gained USPTA Tennis Coaching Qualifications in 1980 at Van Der Meer Tennis Academy. 

A born and bred Wellingtonian, Carmel competed in both Junior and Senior National events, winning Under 16 and 18 National Teams Championships.  Past Tennis coaches and mentors include: Onny Parun, Tony Parun, Clint Packer and Gebhard Gitisch who is currently coaching staff to Novak Djokovik.
A staunch Thorndon Club member, I captain and compete alongside team mates in the annual Tennis Central Regional Interclub Competition.
